Companies House is a UK government-run organisation that incorporates and dissolves limited companies. It registers company and director information and makes it available to the public, amongst other services. Millions of professionals use this register of companies and the financial, structural and event-based data held to inform business decisions on a daily basis.

As of Augst 2023, there were over 5.3 million active businesses on the Companies House register. A further 3.4 million have been dissolved or liquidated since 2011, and over 500,000 new companies are incorporated each year.
